Biography
My training began at the Art Center School in Los Angeles. After three trimesters, I continued at the more affordable Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis. A summer job with an architectural illustrator blossomed into a 20 year partnership and thousands of renderings. A new chapter arose when I decided to form Marty Coulter Studio. As an independent consultant with PGAV Architects in St. Louis, we provided renderings of the Olympic Village in Barcelona Spain.
Now, firmly established in a variety of media, I enjoy painting in the studio and on location. From weddings and theater performances, to people/pets/car portraits, my five plus decades of experience allows me to accept most any commission request.
My Mission
Planning your wedding can be a real challenge. There are dozens of venues, planners, photographers, videographers, and DJ's to choose from. You have designers for your invitations, makeup and floral artists, vendors for the dinner and wedding cake and the list goes on! It can take months, sometimes a year or more to plan everything for your big day. My love of painting has helped me specialize in creating beautiful impressionistic works of art that capture the memory of your wedding day.
